WHY DOESE ALLAH(SWT) ATIMES USE WE WHEN REFERRING TO HIMSELF. Many christains wonder why atimes ALLAH(SWT) use WE when reffering to Himself in the Holy QURAN, so i tried to bring some couple of explanation which will InshAllah clear the missconception, In the Qur’an, Allah uses both the singular and the plural when referring to Himself in the first person only. This is known in English as the majestic plural and implies a sense of majesty and greatness. Many rulers in the past, as well as in the present, have utilized such language. For more information, However, the most deserving of such majesty is Allah, the Lord of the Universe. Some Christians attempt to convince others that the Qur’an also supports the idea of the ‘Trinity’ [i.e. that God is a multiplicity rather than one] by pointing out the use of the majestic plural. However, a correct understanding of the Arabic language coupled with the many Qur’anic verses that severely criticize the idea of a plural god make it crystal clear that there is no basis for such an assumption.
