WHY SOUND BY SINGER IS NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE NEW YORK AUDIO SHOW 2014 When the 2014 audio show was first announced, as usual , we jumped on board booking 2 large rooms to bring you some great new audio gear. Then the show sponsors , The English based Chester Group,changed the dates of the show to September 26, 27 and 28th with the Exhibitors set up day scheduled for September 25. If these dates ring a bell with any one it is because they coincide with Rosh Hashanna ,one of the Holiest days of the year for members of the Jewish Faith,which I for one profess. I note eminent Audio Dealerships whose owners are also Jeified the people at chester that they must have made a mistake and needed to change the dates .They responded that they were aware of the problem and HAD BEEN AWARE OF IT WHEN THEY CHANGED THE DATES so that the show days coincided with Rosh Hashanna ,but that they could not change them to any other time and therefore did not want to disappoint the people for whom this was not an issue. That did not include Sound By Singer and at least two other preeminent Jewish High End Audio Dealers for whom this was a big issue. We decided that Principle trumps profit and that therefore we were out. I urge everyone to follow their own conscience in this matter.
