WHY VAN GAAL IS THE BEST MANAGER FOR MANCHESTER UNITED - TopicsExpress

WHY VAN GAAL IS THE BEST MANAGER FOR MANCHESTER UNITED There have been many managers that have been linked to the vacant managerial post at Manchester United, with Ryan Giggs and Van Gaal the front runners for the job. After current interim manager Ryan Giggs got off to a good start in his tenure with a 4-0 drubbing of Norwich, there have been many people calling for the Welshman to land the job permanently. However, I think Van Gaal would be the best manager for Man Utd. Taking out the impossible targets such as Guardiola, Ancelotti etc, Van Gaal has the most experience as he has managed clubs such as Ajax, Barcelona, AZ and Bayern Munich as well as the Dutch national team. It is something that former manager, David Moyes, as well as current interim manager, Ryan Giggs, lack. I would like to point out the fact that he managed Bayern Munich from 2009-2011 where he laid down the foundations for the current side who won the treble last year. Not only did he instil youth players into his team, such as Muller, he also converted Schweinsteiger from a winger into arguably the best CM in the world. I think he could do the same at Manchester United and effectively use upcoming youngsters such as Janko, Pereira, and Wilson. He also signed compatriot Robben from Real Madrid and could sign some Dutch talents such as Strootman for Man Utd. Furthermore he will be able to get the best out of RVP who has been struggling with injuries and trying to find form this season. Much like Sir Alex Ferguson, Van Gaal has never been afraid to drop a star player, for example Luca Toni at Bayern Munich. He also has a very attacking philosophy which is something that was sorely missed during David Moyes’ tenure. The Dutchman’s teams always look to keep hold of the ball and to go forward. A return of the “Manchester United way” is a must and Van Gaal is the man to bring it back. His teams like to take charge by pinning the opposition back, effectively denying them the opportunity to do anything at all. He uses fast and skillful wingers to do this which is a perfect fit for Man Utd, as attacking wing play has long been a part of their identity. He is 62 so he could manage Manchester United for a few years before retiring at which point Ryan Giggs will have got sufficient experience to step in and take over for Van Gaal. I feel that right now Manchester United need to play it safe and Ryan Giggs is too much of a gamble at this current point in time. I believe that Van Gaal will be able to attract more world class players than Ryan Giggs and would be perfect for this current transitional phase. #KDZ
