WHY WILL YE DIE? Spiritual deadness sees nothing more than the eyes of a dead man. A spiritual birth is needed before spiritual things can be seen. Jesus prayed from the cross with the greatest of love, "Father forgive them FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO". I would never set about to prove anything to a dead person. You can be born spiritually any time that Spirit of God draws you. You can not and will not ever have any inclination unless He does draw you. If you have the slightest spark of a desire to know Him, that is indication that you are being drawn. You will never fit the eternal divine God into a peanut brain like yours or mine. Just as surely as He made you with all of the wonder and grandness of design of each of your parts, your eyes, your ears, you capacity to think and reason, each of the magnificent functioning of all of your intricate body functions and senses, He longs to know you and for you to know Him. Your sin is the problem, but He has done everything needed to overcome that sin in sending Jesus, the Lord of Glory, Emanuel = God with us to shed his blood and die for your sin. HE willingly took your place on the cross and became your sin so that you could be made His righteousness. He can not and will not do this against your will. The instant you choose Him and turn away from your sin He will perform a miraculous new birth and the light of understanding will turn on. You will have your proof the moment that the warmth and glory of the God of glory floods your soul with new life. 1Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 ¶ For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. YOU COULD TURN AWAY FROM YOUR SIN RIGHT NOW AND TURN TO CHRIST AND CALL ON HIM AND YOU COULD BE MADE ALIVE RIGHT NOW. "WHY WILL YE DIE?"
