This system will cause very windy conditions over portions of the interior northwest. These conditions will occur in central oregon...The grande ronde valley and the wallowa valley ahead of the associated cold front today...And then across the columbia basin and the blue mountain foothills after frontal passage tonight and sunday. ...Wind advisory remains in effect from 5 pm this afternoon to 3 pm pdt sunday... A wind advisory remains in effect from 5 pm this afternoon to 3 pm pdt sunday. * Timing: winds will increase rapidly with frontal passage this evening...Especially along the blue mountain foothills. More persistent strong winds will occur from late tonight through at least sunday morning. * Winds: southwest to west 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 45 to 50 mph. * Impacts: driving will become difficult especially for high profile vehicles on area roadways. In addition these winds may cause loose objects to be picked up and blown some distance. Minor property damage may also be possible.
