WISDOM FOR THE WORKPLACE AND CAREER 5. Go the extra-mile (1Cor. 15:10). Don’t just do what is demanded, do the expedient. Don’t just prescribe solutions, participate in the implementation. Don’t just offer suggestions, be involved in the solution. Do more than you are paid to do and after a short while, you will shift level in income. Extra-milers go extra heights. Let everyone in the office testify that you work more than others and you will be amazed where God will take you. 6. Be responsible, accept the call of duty. Never dodge duty. Never be full of reasons and excuses why something can’t be done. If you can’t find a way, make it. If you can’t find opportunity, create it. Never come to a point in your life where you accepted excuse why something is not working. Those who will not accept responsibilities die as liabilities. It is either it works or it works. Never be perceived as someone who dodges work 7. Arm not your enemies with under-performance. (Dan. 6:4) Do not arm your enemies with average existence, sloppy performance. We live in a hostile world- hostile to Christians. Refuse to arm your enemies with mediocrity and under-performance. Deprive your enemies of anything they can use to deprive you your authority. 8. Always protect the interest of your organization/superior. (Dan. 6:1-2, ). This does not mean you should cover the corruption of your boss. The reason why you are there is to protect the interest of your boss/organization. Nobody employs because they want to waste, justify your conscience by protecting the interest of your organization. Every organization has a vision; know the vision and be eager to make it come to pass. @ #PowerCommunionService (1st Service) 30/04/2014 @#DunamisInternationalGospelCentre, Area 1, Garki, Abuja, Nigeria.
