WORKOUT TIP: When it comes to developing your fitness level, you could say that there are actually many different types of fitness. Long distance runners, sprinters, tennis players, wrestlers, boxers, and football players for example are all fit in different ways. How your fitness develops depends on how you utilize your aerobic and anaerobic energy systems in your training. Even if youre not an athlete or training for a specific sport or activity, you will achieve faster results in terms of fitness and calorie burning by regularly changing around how you train, because this will keep your body challenged by having to do things it hasnt adapted to. Low intensity, steady-state cardio is something your body adapts to relatively quickly, but you can spice it up by including a minute of burpees or jump squats every 5 to 10 minutes for example, to break up your rhythm. Try all different types of high and low intensity intervals, and high and low intensity circuits. Keep changing things around to avoid creating a comfort zone for yourself, and youll be sure to always get the most from your cardio workouts! And as an added bonus youll never get bored! - Fabian.
