WOUNDS THAT MAKE YOU WONDER Today, His nail pierced hands would touch you. He will never cast you away on any account. Look at His nail pierced body and say, You came into this world to help me. Therefore, Lord I am a blessed person. Jesus Christ has power to redeem and change your life today. People are going to wonder and marvel at your life. What about the death of our Lord Jesus Christ? The Bible says in Romans 5:6, at the due time He died for the ungodly. At the appointed time, just like any other man, but in Luke 13:32, He said that after three days He would be killed. Again in Matthew 26:45,46 He stated, The hour of betrayal has come. In other words He meant that the time to leave this world has come. In Mark 10:34, He said, I will be killed, buried but on the third day I will come out of my grave. In Matthew 28:6, He rose up on the third day exactly as He said. Oh what a Wonderful God, a person who was wonderful in His death also. This is not a story because there is another side. Look at Jesus Christ on the Cross. The Bible says in Isaiah 52:14 and history says that when people looked into His face, they marvelled and were surprised. They wondered and were amazed at this Wonderful person. In what sense was He Wonderful? His beauty, comeliness and form had already left Him. Isaiah 53: 2,3 tells us so. His whole image was black and dark. In the midst of such a situation, He was so full of serenity and tranquility. So He was a Wonderful person. Even after His resurrection, the apostle Thomas said, Lord, I must see the wounds on Your hands. Even in the glorified body, He retained His wounds and showed His wounds to Thomas saying, I am not ashamed of My wounds. It is true that I looked so ugly on the Cross. But to Me I was looking Wonderful. Dearly beloved, Jesus Christ was very proud and happy about His wounds. Why did wounds come to Him? The Bible says this in Isaiah 53:11,12 and Isaiah 53:5, He took every sin and iniquity of every man upon Himself. Proverbs 20:30 says, only beating that shall go and touch the heart of a man shall cleanse a man. Only wounds can heal the heart of a man. Therefore, Jesus Christ also said, Please beat or whip me. In Mark 15:10-15, it is stated that soldiers beat Him mercilessly and they put a crown of thorns upon Him. Inwardly He said, Beat me! Let Me suffer for the sins of the people and offer My body willingly to be broken for them. I want My children be set free from sins and from every form of addiction. Therefore every wound was precious to Him. In the same way, in Matthew 8:17, the Bible says that He took our infirmities carried away our sicknesses. So when they beat Him, He said, Let me bear the pain of every infirmity and every sickness. Let me suffer for these wounds are precious to me. When I touch My people with wounded hands they will get healed. The Bible says in Galatians 3:13, He took the curse of every person and every witchcraft agony upon Himself. His only thought was, Let Me suffer, be beat and die and let My people be free from these evil powers. Hebrews 2:9 states that He tasted the bitterness of death. Everyone is afraid of death. He said let that bitterness come to Me. Therefore, dearly beloved, today when He thinks of these wounds, He is proud of that. He is a wonderful person. The Bible says in Luke 4:40 that in the evening when a multitude of people came to Him, He laid His hands and healed them. Today, His nail pierced hands would touch you. He will never cast you away on any account. Just trust in the Lord. Look at His wonderful nail pierced body and say, Lord! You came into this world as a Wonderful person to help me. Therefore, Lord I am a blessed person. My mother used to suffer with fits. We did everything possible. When the fits came, she would scream to such an extent that if anyone who had a weak heart would die on hearing that. She would bite her tongue. Blood would flow like water. For the next fifteen days she would be unable to take any food. I was her only son. My father and I have wept bitterly. One day, when the fits came and the blood was running like water from her mouth there was a picture of Jesus Christ in our home. He was hanging on the Cross. It depicted the blood that was coming out of His body. My father looked at that picture and said, Lord Jesus! Is it not enough that You have shed Your blood, should my wife also shed her blood every fifteen days? Please help me. He cried. God heard his cry from heaven. That day the fits that had been tormenting her stopped forever. He is a Wonderful God. If you cry unto Him He will be moved with compassion and HE will bless you forever. Prayer Almighty God, I praise and thank You because You gave Your only Son to be broken as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind. I confess that there is healing for all my ailments when I look at the wounds that He still bears in His glorified body. Help me to seek refuge under the protection of His nail pierced hands.
