(WRCB) - This weekend will be unseasonably warm with highs in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. We will be on the warm side of major winter storm. Clouds will be abundant for both days with a few showers scattered on Saturday and a much better chance for showers and storms late Saturday night and Sunday. The Storm Prediction Center has put us in a slight chance for severe storms late Saturday night and into Sunday morning. The chance for tornadoes is slim, but damaging winds are a possibility. I think the worst will be over middle Tennessee. But stay tuned to the latest information right here on channel 3 and through our apps and interactive radar. Showers and storms will end Sunday, but the front causing them will be a slow mover and that will allow some more showers to form on Monday especially for north Georgia and North Carolina.
