WTF? Jacksonville has been very quiet these last couple of weeks. We have great weather, great food places and even a new council president that is moving and shaking it up downtown. But there is one thing we do not have, and that is the thing they want the most: Leadership from Mayor Alvin Brown. Brown has not been seen in public for more than two days, making his presence known only through a stealth trip to Krystal burger where he told workers, "I was stressed out and needed some fries" but he has gone silent as of last night. Staffers do not know where Brown is hiding. A Mayors office spokesman says analysts believe he has not left the city. Other speculations are spreading, so here are some of the most likely possibilities: 1) The Super 8 Motel by the Airport -A source said they thought they saw him and another person checking in late last night but no confirmation as of today. 2) Matt Shirks Bathroom in his Downtown Offices- We have heard that this is bigger than the room at Super 8 so he may have decided to stay closer to home. 3) Everbank Field - Sources say that a request came in from the executive offices to add a cot, a TV, and a small hot plate to a broom closet located near the new scoreboard area. Well most importantly if he is in hiding we would like to know why? We are delighted that we have not had to see him in a newspaper, magazine or online photo lately but does anyone have any guesses as to why and where he might be?
