Walking from Outram Park MRT to the Eye Center was quite difficult. The signs in the SGH compound was inadequate and misleading. I followed the sign indicating "Eye Center and walk along the road and found that I was lost. I learned that I had to take another turn and it was not shown on the road sign. I had Google Maps on my iPad but it did not help, I still got misled with the signs. Generally, I found the signage to be quite poor in most parts of Singapore. Nobody seem to be paying any attention to the impact of the bad signage on the public. Walking back to the MRT after my eye consultation, I had to asked many staff for directions. And it did not help either. Singaporeans do not know how to give clear directions. Generally, they do not know that the public is not as familiar with their place as those who are working there.
