Walking in union with the father. Believe thou not that i am in the father, and the father in me? The words that i speak to you, i speak not of myself: but the father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works (john 14:10). In mathew 1:18, the lord jesus; while still in the womb of the virgin mary, was called the child of the holy sprirt. Then in our opening verse, we read that the lord jesus called the holy spirit the father that dwells in him, identifying him (the holy spirit) as the who does the miracles. Furthermore, in john 8:38, he said, I speak that which i have seen with my father..... Its thus clear that jesus walk in union with the father in an extraordinary way. He did nothing independent of the holy spirit. He said in john 5:19, very, very, i say to you, the son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the son likewise. He was always conscious of his inseparable oneness with the father. No wonder he was so inspiring, and was such and outstanding success in everything he did. If you have receive the holy spirit into you, your body is temple (1corin16:19). Its therefore important that you walk in union with the father that lives in you. Become conscious that you re not alone. All the while you were trying to reach out to the father, thinking your prayers werent going above the ceiling, he was in you. Everywhere you go, you go with the father who lives permanently in you. Relate with the holy spirit as your father for real, and not as mere influence. Understand that he knows you more than you know yourself. He can effectively handle you; youre not a mystery or a surprise to him at all. Theres nothing about you thats strange to him. Hes more passionate about your success than you could ever be. Simply accept what he sees you to be, and say yes to him; thats when youre ready to walk in union with him.
