Walking the beach today, picked up armloads and then bagfulls of trash and debris from the NYE frolicking. Walk, squat, walk, squat...lots of folks said it was awesome that I was doing that...only one other person was picking up all the trash. The chinese lanterns are the worst...wire frames and all the wrappings...ciggy buts, straws, broken plastic everything, cups, bottles, cans...it is available to all to pick up! If you are on a beach, grab a bag and take a walk...if you forget your bag, no problem...one will wash up soon. Make it a Happy New Year for the Ocean and all its users!
