Want Fact First LS1 lasted over 7 years of abuse. With 40,000 km on it first. Added cam. Springs and chain set. At over constant revs over 8200 rpm. It finaly let go. Broke the conrods. Yes i knew it would as they are week. 2nd engine was new. You did small fly cuts in pistons and i fitted with new cam. Dual springs. New manifold. Now spinning to 8500rpm. 8 skids later. Inlet valve kissed a piston. I replaced the valve and carried on. Another 6 skids later broke a conrod. Lasted 12 skids. Expectable running dead stock bottom end. Crank, pistons & rods all stock. Split one bore. No damage to valve tips. Seats. etc etc. I asked you to sponsor. You said no but if i pay for parts you will sponsor the machining and labour. Asked you to build it to handle 9000rpm Then you built it with forged crank. H-beam rods and forged pistons. Stainless valves. Etc Then dynoed. Asked you to turn it to 8000 plus for 30 seconds. As i will be turning it to 8600. You said dont need to it will be fine When i put it in car and fired it up. I rang and said sounds like some tappets noisey and sounds like exhaust valves open as its poping out exhaust. Bought it down to you and you said. Thats normal because of the clearance you gave it. 1st skid at summernats. Wouldnt go over 7800 as throttle fitting by me wrong. 2nd skid at pt lincoln turned to 8400 8500 for three skids. Then the 5th skid at portland it dropped a valve. And pushed it back into the head. Damaged piston and bore also. When pulled down all rockers had different preload. Even some with clearance. Damage to tips of valves on other cylinders. Instaled height were all diferent on valve tops. 5 head bolts werent even tight. Daylight through exhaust valves on closed with NO marks on pistons from hitting. You say its because valve springs week and its pushed all the valve seats in the head. With all valves at different heights. I even put standard valves in to check. And also had daylight. So after 5 skids it dropped 30 pound seat presure and caused all this you say. And i asked you to build a 9000 rpm engine. My stocky doubled yr distance with less damage
