Want to get to know our speakers? First up: Erin Haid, Talent Development Manager, Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Erin has been a member of the Starwood family since 2010 when she joined The Westin Harbour Castle in the role of Assistant Restaurant Manager. Erin’s journey in Operations continued as she gained Rooms division exposure in the role of Assistant Housekeeping Manager. Erin brought with her over 7 years of Food and Beverage experience from her role as Assistant Food and Beverage Services Manager at the Delta Chelsea and Earl’s Kitchen and Bar, where she worked as part of the management team both in Vancouver and as part of the opening team in Burlington. Erins current role directly assists in delivering on Starwoods business essentials, specifically Winning with Talent. This role tasks Erin with driving recruitment, selection, talent acquisition, and internal mentoring and talent development for Starwoods owned and managed properties in Canada. In addition to her career achievements, Erin has earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and she is currently studying at Ryerson University pursuing the academic requirements to become a Certified Human Resources Professional.
