Wanted to share this... Tonight, I had my Outfield mix on my iPad playing in the car. Your Love live in Tyler, TX and about half way through my little guy (who is 4) started asking question about the song... I started to tell him a little about The Outfield and the song, telling him it was one of my favorites -- he said it was one of his favorites, too... and when Tony started doing call and response with the crowd (for those who know the particular performance know what Im talking about) and he was asking what Tony was doing. When that was over, he asked if he could hear the regular song -- which I took to mean the studio version, so I put that one... and that was one of his favorites, too. Next, Watching You came on and he kept saying how much he liked that, too. So -- we get home and I flip open my MacBook to check Facebook for five minutes before going to bed and what is the first thing I see on my newsfeed? A picture of Tony and Carol Lewis holding their new precious grandbaby! Nathan comes up and asks who that is... so I told him that that is the guy who was singing to us in the car -- and then followed it up by showing him the video for Your Love, which he watched until the dripping paint faded away the picture at the end. I introduced him to Tony, Alan, Reg, Grahame -- and of course John. Was an Outfield kind of night, I guess.
