Warlocs – current, former and prospective! The Warlocs - TopicsExpress

Warlocs – current, former and prospective! The Warlocs Committee has news for you, two bits of news actually. They’re both pretty important, so I’m hoping you’ll read this whole thing. Cheers. (TL,DR at the bottom for impatient sorts) The first is that the Committee has been looking at how we do the social aspect of our society. The Warlocs is more to me than just a gathering of enough people for me to actually play the games I like; The Warlocs are both my community and my friends. That’s pretty damn cool, and we want that to be true for everyone. But it feels like a few of our current practices aren’t working towards those goals. So what’s the solution? warlocs.shivtr/ A forum home for the Warlocs. The idea is simple; to make a one-stop shop for the Warlocs, a place where you can go to talk about everything that falls under the wide umbrella that makes us all up with people that share your passions. A forum opens up a whole load of options to us. Want story telling/fluff threads for your latest incredible campaign? Want a group of hardcore rules lawyers on tap to help you with that new homebrew? Fancy a painting blog for your miniature army? Are you a fresher struggling to understand everything this society does? Or just finding it hard to meet people? These are all things that the forum can do for us that facebook doesn’t, or at least doesn’t do well. Go sign up, try it on for size and make full use of the Suggestions thread in the Bar. This is meant to be a home for you, so we want to hear your opinion on the interior decorating. The catch is that we’re going to be shutting down the facebook pages we have now in the next two weeks, except this page which will be used for announcements. Don’t despair however; simply go sign up to the forum now and there will be no loss of Warlocs services! The second bit of news is much simpler; we have a Fresher’s Week coming up! There’s going to be loads going on with us and your committee reps, which are Max Ayson on Wargaming, Alex Hill on Board and Card games and Merin Vale with Roleplaying game’s and Live action roleplay, are looking for volunteers to come along and help out. The details are out on the forum, as is the calendar of Fresher’s Week events! TL,DR; warlocs.shivtr/ , Facebook pages closing over next two weeks and Your Committee Reps Want You For Fresher’s Week; details on the forum I just linked.
