Warmest water on the lake yesterday (mid-50s to 60 on surface) was from Baileys Harbor to the islands, and thats where the hottest fishing was. Water temps in the mid-40s to 50 on the surface at Algoma and Kewaunee made for hit-and-miss fishing. Sunshine and relatively flat seas this morning — and a north current thatll bring down warmer water — could change things fast. K/D Salmon Tournament — Day 5 Northern Door County waters heated up at the right time this week, with some excellent catches reported Wednesday. Numerous big salmon were brought in around the islands, including four that cracked the top 10. The largest of the day was a 26-pounder taken by Justin Johnson.
