Buckinghamshire author Terry Pratchett has co-signed a letter to the Daily Telegraph saying David Cameron was wrong to call Britain a Christian country in his Easter message. The letter, signed by 50 notable writers and academics, argues that Britain is in fact largely a non-religious society - with 65% of people now describing themselves as non-religious. In response to the letter Downing Street has stated that the Prime Minister is proud that Britain is home to many different faiths but the fact remains it is still a Christian Country.
