Was going to post this status sooner but figured I would wait until the entire family heard and didnt learn based on my fb status. Unfortunately my grandmother Mary Verna ended up passing away last night just before midnight. For anyone that knew her, they knew that she was indeed one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. Remember the countless trips to the convience store next to where she lived and how every time I left her house I would have to grab a brown paper bag and fill it up with candy and other goodies (nope wasnt ever hyper at all after that; sure my parents wont agree). All of our lives changed for the better when she married her late husband Joseph Verna and I was so honored to be apart of that ceremony. He brought out not only the best in her but the best in everyone. And am so happy that you were able to bring him into our lives and that you both had amazing years with eachother. Will always remember all the trips up to Camp up in Maine, especially when we got to go into town and raid the candy shop (anyone else see a theme here with me and hyper candy). Also those amazing family uno and skip bo tournaments at camp were amazing. She was always there from the highlights to the lowlights in my life no matter what was needed. From graduations to the day my sister was brought home. As Nana was leaving after she was brought home I started tugging her pants and saying Nana Nana you forgot something...when asked what was it I just pointed at my sister and said it. I will miss you Nana and will always love you, from life lessons to jokes about your favorite crunch bird and gas, thank you for everything you were able to do as without a doubt you touched my life and the lives of everyone who knew you. RIP Nana
