Was having a really down day- lots of family turmoil going on right now. I ended up going to Lubec to pick up a cabinet at Clydes Place. Love Bonnie Foss and Clyde. He was an old friend of Tims. They have a nice little business there in Lubec, lots of cute used furniture. From there, I stopped at Moncas Chocolates. I needed some sea salt and knew she had some. Little did I know when I arrived that I would be greeted with open arms, given a tour of the store, given samples to try. Oh goodness, all of the chocolate! I was in my glory- and her beautiful jewelery, clothing, and food items. What a nice store. From there, as riding home, I came to the conclusion that even though I have a huge heartache, that life is still pretty darned good. Everything is SO green right now and all of the blossoms, cherry trees, apple trees, blueberry blossoms, are SO beautiful right now. In spite of the blackflies, mosquitoes and all of this rain, we truly do live in the most beautiful corner of the world. I am so thankful for my parents , who toughed it out when Dad lost his job at American Can Company so many years ago, became self employed, and stayed put, so that we could live here. Am also thankful that after nursing school , I was able to move home and always find work here. Even when the base closed, I was able to fill in at Families United until a job at DECH came up again. So , in a nutshell, just saying that I have a thankful heart. If you have not checked out Clydes Place in Lubec or Monicas Chocolates- go! Great little gems right in our back yard.
