Was in the stunning Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech today, a visit completely ruined by the fact that everyone there spent the whole time photographing everything and looking at, and experiencing nothing. I was always either in someones shot, about to step into someones shot, or aware that people were waiting for me to get out of their shot. People would take a photo, check how it looked on their phone/camera, and immediately move on - seeing nothing, to be immediately replaced by the next photographer. Impossible to enjoy the beauty of the place in such an environment. I take photos myself occasionally, but not to the extent where Im not even aware of where I am, and never to the exclusion of actually looking at, (without the camera), and experiencing whats around me. Jesus....
