Was looking into car leasing since I only need the car for a year or so. Realized that Malaysias car rental industry doesnt really into individual long term car leasing but focus more on corporate leasing. The price is sky high even for non-luxury car! The concept of renting car instead of buying is not new in other countries. Cost efficiency and depreciation are the key factors besides other benefits like hassle-free, variety of car models to choose from, etc. Perhaps this is one of the many areas that the car rental companies, even the car manufacturers should look at. Rent-then-buy is another option to explore too. We are definitely way behind others.
