Was that smoke we could smell in the air as we approached home? - TopicsExpress

Was that smoke we could smell in the air as we approached home? Not smoke . . . but something, is that gas? When we finally arrived it took 3 phone calls to get any information about the huge 35,000 litre jet fuel spill into the pristine river that runs less than 100 feet from our yard and the resultant evacuation order for the entire area. So we drove to the evacuation centre set up at a local school, on the way passing he main site of the tanker crash that spilled the fuel. It smelled so much of the fuel, even with the car windows closed that both Jeremy and I had to hold our shirts over our noses and O started to get a headache. The night ahead looked long and tiring but I was glad I chose not to sleep at home that night.
