Washington @@#!!@# Draw Protesters in Minnesota Before Losing in Griffin’s Return ****** to start things off,..the washington team bus gets into a crash,..that was the sign of things to come,..next they arrive in town to a huge protest,..last, they loose their game. ============================================ The protesters arrived from as far as Oklahoma, Montana and New Mexico. They marched across the University of Minnesota campus on a cold, sunny morning to a grassy patch outside TCF Bank Stadium, near the Minnesota Tribal Nations Plaza, which honors the state’s 11 federally recognized Native American tribes. For about two hours, speaker after speaker — elected officials, tribal leaders and activists — criticized Dan Snyder, the owner of the Washington Redskins, for retaining a team nickname that many Native Americans consider offensive. Protesters held signs reading “No Honor in Genocide,” “Viking Is a Job, Redskin Is a Slur” and, simply, “Change the Name,” which the crowd chanted several times. Some curious Redskins fans watched the protesters quietly before entering the stadium, where Washington lost to the Minnesota Vikings, 29-26. “I don’t understand why they want it changed,” said Tony Cansler, a Redskins fan from Keota, Iowa, wearing a maroon No. 14 jersey with his name on the back. “My question is, what are they ashamed of?” ^^^^HE is the type of jackass that will never get it !!
