Wat Yanawa, built sometime in the Ayuthaya period (1350-1767) is directly across the river from us and warranted a visit. There is a world famous exhibit of Buddha relics from Sri Lanka at the temple that attracts hundreds of visitors per day from all over Asia. Next month we will re-visit the Wat with Worawans Mom (pictures inside are not supposed to be taken - I snuck one) :) The huge unfinished building behind Wat Yanawa is Bangkoks most famous Ghost Building. Sitting unfinished since the Asian financial crisis of 1987 the building is frequently used as a giant billboard. Directly behind the ghost building, a huge new condominium is being built.
