Watch and Act Issued For: Moonambel Fire Origin: MOONAMBEL Incident Name: STAWELL-AVOCA RD Issued: 18/01/14 5:59 AM This is a Watch and Act message issued by Country Fire Authority for Moonambel. There is a large grassfire travelling slowly in a, predominantly, northerly direction from the Stawell-Avoca Road 4.5 kilometres west of Moonambool. This grassfire has not yet been controlled. CFA and DEPI fire crews have made progress constructing a break around the fire edges, and will continue to work to contain the fire this morning. The next update is expected by 18/01/14 11:00 AM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Remember to take your prescriptions and medication, photo ID, bottles of water, your mobile phone and charger and consider what you will do with your pets. If you have time, check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. Contact a family member or friend to tell them what you plan to do.
