Watched “Horses of God” (Arabic:2012) Moroccan film based on the 2003 Casablanca bombing by Islamic terrorists. The movie begins (like in The City of God) showing the life of the unemployed and uneducated young children in a slum in the outskirts of Casablanca. This setting of poverty and hopelessness becomes and ideal ground for recruiters looking for suicide bombers with promise of paradise with endless supply of virgins and escape from the dredgery of everyday life. The movie is based on actual incidents in 2003, when 12 youths between the age of 16 and 23 blew themselves up in different parts of Casablanca, killing 45 people and wounding hundreds. Recommended.
