Watched Jianna play her last Indoor college match last Friday. I have to say for 15 years I have watched Jianna Bonomi play and I can honestly say that every single game she played she always gave 150% and never gave up! I need to share a story with you about crazy Jianna. I knew she was special watching her play for me in her 1st club tournament. She was 6 years old and playing on my 10 and under team. I had put her in next to her sister Justyn. She was playing with girls that were 1-3 years older than she was. Well, the ball dropped in between her and her sister, and all I can hear is Jianna yelling at Justyn....Justyn that is YOUR ball! You need to get that ball! Justyn looked at me and started crying! I quickly subbed Jianna out and explained that I wont sub her back in until she promised me that she was going to be positive on the court! I guess not much has changed at all! She was a leader at the age of 6! She played and gave it her all til the bitter end. What an amazing college career she has had. Thanks to all who have supported her from her 1st day of club practice when she was 6 yrs old to her last match 15 years later. She has had such an amazing career and played on some great teams with great players. its bittersweet but whatever you choose to do after you graduate in the Spring, I know you will be successful. Keep shooting for the stars Jianna. And always remember ... To God be the Glory!
