Watchers, Citizens complain about County government, and most of the smaller local governments are much less. Why we ask? Here are some of the concerns Chatta Leaks has about city government. 1) The city of Chattanooga interferes in natural freedoms of citizens with over regulation of matters that do not require or need government intervention, over regulation. 2) The city is infamous for converting citizen tax dollars into a slush fund for insiders at city hall, ie TIF, and contracting practices that equate to bid rigging. Insider trading type deals. 3) The city of Chattanooga is the only jurisdiction, local government, that has not amended their charter to abolish their special March election, and merge with the general election. As a result, the city is dominated by employee unions and small special interest creating a government not representative of the people. Would Metro Government Address These Issues?
