Water demands of our avocado consumption. When we eat anything we are also consuming the inputs that go into it. Water, labour, nutrients, fossil fuels, etc all go into making foods. We can choose to eat foods that have less impacts by learning about their ecological and social impact. Whether a food is produced organically or by non-organic methods they both use water. Organic agriculture uses less water per kilo of output (mulching, higher organic matter in the soil, consideration of other cycles, etc.). PS - Plant based foods still use a lot less water than animal based foods so it is best to put that into perspective.
