Waylon begins craniospinal radiation today followed by chemotherapy infused over 1 hour. This will be the only week that he will also have chemo; the remaining 3 weeks will be radiation only. When radiation completes he will have a 2 week break and will then be admitted to University Hospital for 6 days for high dose chemo and then onto Methodist Hospital for an overnight stay to receive a stem cell rescue in order to aid in his bone marrow recovery. I believe scans will be done in order to evaluate his disease status and then soon after we will be on our way to New York to meet with Dr. Kramer at Sloan Kettering to discuss the antibodies that he will receive. I am very worried in anticipation of what to expect with treatment today but I have faith that Waylon will be healed. I cannot thank everyone enough for all of your prayers and support. Yesterday a group of our friends/neighbors came over to pray for us and I was so thankful for their prayers. Words cannot describe how much peace it gives me knowing how many people from all over are praying. I know God will hear our prayers!
