“We Are Blessed” We are blessed, and this is not based on or indicative to what we possess and/or do not possess, but depends upon our relationship with Christ the Savior and His unmerited favor demonstrated through His compassionate love towards us. By no means am I bashing or knocking material wealth; an abundance of property; a successful career or business, and not even the acquisition of degrees of higher education. These things are all good, but from our examination of the Scriptures we find Jesus saying this in the Book of Mark Chapter 8 verses 35 through 37 … “ 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospels, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (KJV)” I believe it is the desire of God to not withhold any good thing from any individual who will believe, trust and obey His Will for their lives. We just have to ensure our priorities are in order and not assume our own intellect, our own connections, our own personalities or any manmade thing or institution has afforded us anything. We have to acknowledge this fact that if it was not for the Grace, Mercy, Love and Favor of God we would not be presented opportunities to enjoy any of the benefits this world has to offer. “We Are Blessed”. © 2014 Robert G.
