“We all had our tin foil hats on and we were like ‘yes, we need to encrypt links between data centres because somebody could do this’. “Then when you saw those Snowden revelations, you said ‘oh, ok well our tin foil hat ... we were wearing it correctly. “It really helped validate and push things forward (but) it didn’t fundamentally change the way we think about security,” Mr Stefancik said.
