We, along with other media outlets across the country lit up with news of the rare achievement by 17-year-olds Avery Coffey from the DMV and Kwesi Enin from New York, who were both accepted to multiple Ivy League universities. So, why is this Washington, DC newspaper reporter arguing it’s time to move on already? Until we get to the point where these two young mens accomplishments are everyday occurrences, we must highlight their achievements as models to other students. Especially, here in the DMV.
