We are Veni and Vidi, a little boy and girl, just over 3 months old. We came to the shelter with our mother Vita, who was struggling to care for us. She was overcome with terrible skin problems and had lost all her fur. We started to develop the same skin problems as her and all our fur started to fall out too. We were the saddest little family. Since being at the Soi Dog shelter, everything has changed – for all of us. Our mother was given a quiet space where she could look after us and she was started on medication to make her skin better. We had our skin conditions treated too and it wasn’t long before we all started to look better. Our mother is so much healthier and happier. She was very protective of us in the early days but she has now learnt to trust the humans who have helped her. We have had a very hard start in life and yet, we are the lucky ones. The donations of the Emergency Response Team meant that Soi Dog were able to take all three of us in and look after us. There are other little families out there and they are suffering.
