We are a world waking up. The tie that binds us is love, no matter our religion, path or how far along the journey we are. If you know me, you know that I am one who believes and lives for Unity; loving and caring for many friends from many corners of this earth and many paths toward realization. I worry about my Muslim friends today. The hardest work I have ever done is to heal my own pain so that I, on my best days, am not reactionary or violent with my words or actions. People will be reactionary until they learn how not to be. People will act out of ignorance until they are educated to look deeper. Violence is not a trait of being Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist or any other path, its a human hurting & ignored to the point of helplessness and seeing no other way out. I wrote this song to remind myself that love is the only thing that will heal hatred. It is like water, it will smooth the stones in nature and the stones in our hearts as long as we keep showing up every day.
