We are appealing for information following an assault in Pill on Sunday 3rd August. It happened at about 6.30pm behind Dolphin Court on Commercial Road. Five people were arrested following the incident which resulted in a 28 year old man from Newport being treated for a head injury at the Royal Gwent Hospital. He has since been released. The five arrested have since been charged with assault. These are a 25 year old man from Cardiff, four other men aged 21, 25, 29 and 27 from Newport. The 27 year old from Newport has also been charged with a public order offence. Officers would like to speak to 24 year old Josef Greenfield from Newport about the incident. It’s believed he may be in the Dinas Powys area where he has contacts.
