We are excited for the Town of Lake Placid to have its 21st Annual Caladium Festival this weekend. Historically on that Friday our Lake Placid branch office has been somewhat inaccessible due to its location in the middle of the event. Also in years past, our parking lot gets used primarily for the event and road closures have made it more difficult for our customers and event patrons alike. Our transaction numbers also reflect this as they are extremely low on that particular day. With that being said, we are going to close the Lake Placid branch office on Friday, July 25th, so that we can assist the Chamber and the Town of Lake Placid, and also better accommodate our residents and patrons of the festival. We will still be available for business in our Sebring and Avon Park locations. Residents can also call our office or go to our website at hctaxcollector. We will reopen for regular business in our Lake Placid Branch on Monday, July 29th. Thank you all!
