We are lions in war unafraid, and falcons exalted in the sky. The backs of horses were our cradle, and on them we had inherited pride. We are knights; for us the horses were cradles, and if the cause called, we heeded the call. If the cause called, we heeded the call. In the path of God we live and die. In life [is] glory or in death [is] self-sacrifice. And when the cause calls for the victory of Islam, we heed the call. And when the bullets whizz in the air, the scent [of the mountains is close to it [the air] with the echo. And when war shows its fangs, our heroes rush out to fight. We defy death, unafraid of ruin. We strike the enemy in the places where we clash. To none besides Allah do we bow our heads. We do not and will not submit to anyone besides God. From Him do we hope for victory, for He bestows hope. Verily is He our creator, mighty and exalted. Whosoever dies as a martyr is not dead, since there is life in the Paradise of the Afterlife.
