We are looking for volunteers to help register voters in Durham on Saturday Oct. 4th. This includes you, your network of friends, family, church members, Facebook and LinkedIn contacts to canvass. It goes without saying that voting in this November’s election is extremely important for our community, especially given the changes in voting laws and reports that NC residents were recently mailed incorrect voter registration information. Event Information • Time is from 1:30pm – 5:00pm (can work in shifts) • 15-30 minute training will be provided day of the event at People’s Alliance/Democracy NC in Durham • Please respond to this mail with # of volunteers and available time if interested • Please share this note with your friends, family and other NC residents to encourage participation! • Visit our website to o register to vote o learn about the candidates o check you voting registration status o find your early voting and other voting locations o learn about changes to the voting laws If you can’t attend this event, but would still like to volunteer, you should also respond to this email.
