We are often asked - what is your reference music when designing. That is often a difficult question to answer, because unless you absolutely know what was being recorded, how do you know that you can reliably use it as a reference. That is why we treasure moments like this. When we can hear the recording and what was being recorded at the same time. Lyn Stanley is an amazing performer. She has perfect pitch, tempo and articulation. When she sang along with her recording, it was quite impossible to tell her apart from the recording. I wish that she had walked out to the front in between the speakers and sang there - but she would have had to shout and still be drowned out by the system. As it was, even over a camera and YouTube, she comes across as live. The lucky guy in the flowery shirt sitting upfront was the luckiest audiophile in the room - being in the best position to hear Lyn live and recorded.
