We are really fortunate to have some terrific guest mentors for upcoming LAFF Scholarship event! Meet one of our mentors, Grace Ledding... Grace is a Manager and Producer at Agile Entertainment, a company she started in 2012. She represents writers, directors, and animators for film and television, as well as new media including comic books and video games. Her clients include Beth Rigazio & Patrick Clifton (RAISING HELEN), Brian Buccellato (The Flash), Oscar-nominated writers/directors Sam French and Martin Roe, and Steven-Elliot Altman (ZEN IN THE ART OF SLAYING VAMPIRES). Best-selling author Steven-Elliot Altman is developing his novel, DEPRIVERS, for television at MarVista Entertainment and his video game work on Wooga’s most recent iOS and Facebook game, PEARL’S PERIL, has been nominated for a Designed By Award. Client Amalia Levari is currently writing on Nickelodeon’s BAD SEEDS and developing an animated series of her own, BACKSPACE, with Dominic Bisignano, for Cartoon Network. Kyle Higgins (BATMAN BEYOND) writes several titles for DC and just published his first creator-owned book for Image Comics, which Kevin Spacey’s company, Trigger Street, is producing as a digital series. Jack Gutowitz, a writer on CBS’ hit series, CSI, is also writing the CSI: HIDDEN CRIMES mobile game for Ubisoft. Sought-after game writers, Matt Entin and Ed Kuenel are writers behind the new VALIENT HEARTS, a title for Ubisoft as well. Grace began her career in entertainment ten years ago at the William Morris Agency. She then went on to work as a Creative Executive at Intermedia, now IM Global, before moving up to Vice President of Development and Production at Christine Peters’ company, CFP Productions. At CFP Grace was responsible for all aspects of development, from identifying new material and setting up projects with studios, to helping raise development and production financing. She sold a remake of A BOYFRIEND FOR MY WIFE to Warner Brothers with Steve Carell attached and a television series to Nickelodeon and Fremantle based on the novel, “My Life in Pink & Green.” In addition, Grace oversaw a diverse development slate including a Steve McQueen bio pic written by Jesse Wigutow, a true crime drama, BLACK MASS, written by Jim Sheridan and Nye Heron, an adaptation of THE FRIDAY NIGHT KNITTING CLUB with Universal Pictures and JRed Om, as well as a one-hour series for CBS Studios and CW Network, “The How-To Girl”, with producer Lynda Obst, based on her film, How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days.
