We are set and ready to go on Saturday for our next market day in Irmo. Totally full with 48 vendors, lots for the kiddos to do, plenty of goodies to shop for, beautiful music by local musicians, and lots of great local food for breakfast and for lunch-cant think of a better place to be than the Irmo Farmers Market on Saturday! Our vendor line-up includes a wonderful array of new and old faces and we are excited to have them all. Art & Soul Creations will be back out with beautiful metal landscaping art, a slew of farmers with local produce including Jackson Brothers Farms, Lever Farms, Watsonia Farms (organic), Heritage Fields Farms, Oak Grove of Gaston, and Cottle Strawberry Farm, plus the most wonderful jams ever by Sallies Greatest. Lots of handmade jewelry, soaps, crafts of all kinds including beautiful handmade bags by BohoFly Bags, flavorful tea from Bubble Tea Cafe and if you need local bacon or sausage, Fraylick Farms is one vendor you must visit. Fresh eggs from Oak Grove Farms, beef from Westridge Farms, and how about an a award winning BBQ sandwich from Blowin Smoke BBQ? Ill take two please! Rachel will show the kiddos some great stretching moves, work a little on strengthening their little core muscles, and give the parents an opportunity to sip coffee from Loveland Coffee while watching. In addition to Musician Supply filling our market airwaves with beautiful music, Music Makers staff and students will be in the parks gazebo sharing their love of music with us all! Music Makers not only has music classes but this Summer will offer German lessons, sewing and crochet classes and Zumbakids. With studios in Irmo, Chapin and Lexington, they are close to everyone and you should surely check them out. We love to support local non-profit groups and this weeks market spotlight will be Pets Inc. This group started in 1992 and have adopted more pets that they can count! They are in need of many items for their shelter like blankets, towels, baby oil, white paper, staples and staplers, tennis balls, toys, paper towels and other items you can find on their website. Lets fill their donation bin to the top so grab a few items on their list to donate and dont forget to give a little love to these rescued animals before you leave to head home! The Irmo Farmers Market has lots to offer the entire family and we sure hope you come out and support these local vendors and this venture of ours.
