We are soon doing renovations to our sanctuary. We have a very long chancel and a long nave. We do have a professional sound guy coming in to consult the church with the new sound and recording system, but I figured I would ask any colleagues on here if they have ever encountered a situation like this and what they did to run sound. The biggest issue is accompanying solos on the piano- the recordings are either overpowered by voice, overpowered by piano, or (both) barely audible. The attached picture is from about the 3rd or 4th pew back in the nave to give you an idea of the size of the chancel area.
