We are sorry for the silence yesterday. Throughout the bible, - TopicsExpress

We are sorry for the silence yesterday. Throughout the bible, several metaphors are used to describe our relationship with God; Master and servants, Potter and clay, an Eagle and its offsprings, Most intriguing, fascinating and mind boggling is one of the Shepherd and His sheep. Jesus referred to Himself as the Good Shepherd (John 10:11) and rightly so. In Ghana, this relationship doesnt offer much insight as our sheep are left unattended and to survive on their own. Elsewhere in Israel and Australia however, when you see a flock, the shepherd is close by. The shepherd is responsible for the wellbeing of the sheep. He provides green pastures, still waters for the sheep. Protects the sheep. Even when the sheep runs off and goes astray and by so doing gets lost and hurts itself, the shepherd goes in search of it and when he finds it, he doesnt beat it with his rod but comforts it, attends to its wounds and carries it home.(Psalm 23) Thats pretty much what Christ means by He is our good Shepherd. He cares for us.(1peter 5:7). He protects us, provides for us. And when we have gone astray in sin, and struck down with a terminal disease, even then He doesnt smite us with a rod, He pats us on the shoulders, heals us and takes us home. So friends, lets see ourselves as sheep and He our Good Shepherd. Remember Hes all we need to hv all our needs met......gm #Nhyiselconsult. ...Godbelievesinyou Like us on Facebook; Nhyisel consult
