We are very much looking forward to our Accreditation Review this week (Tuesday through Friday) with the Review Team from The Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL). CQL will be using a Person Centred Excellence review process with us which will examine how we have continued to maintain our Basic Assurances and also how we use Personal Oucome Measures throughout our organization both at the systems level as well as for each person we support. The Review Team will be spending time with stakeholder representatives to learn about our supports and services and to assess how we evaluate their effectiveness in positively impacting the lives of people we support. Accreditation through CQL provides a clear message about what Community Living Belleville and Area does, whom we support and what is important to us - what we value. Families whose sons and/or daughters receive services from Community Living Belleville and Area can feel secure in the knowledge that we provide quality supports. The community and our donors can feel confident and proud of Community Living Belleville and Area, our staff, our volunteers, families and the people we support. The Accreditation process ensures that all people with disabilities have a voice, regardless of their disability or communication style.
