We are very pleased to announce the final results of this week’s rookie camp audition for marching band! We would like to commend all the students who came out this week for their wonderful attitudes and devoted work ethic. We have commented many times this week that we have never seen a more hard-working group of rookies. To be honest, the only reason some 7th graders did not make the list this time was purely for physical considerations (struggling to hold heavy instruments, marching in time, etc.) These are all difficulties that will easily be overcome with another year of growth. This is a compliment to your children, parents, as the other qualifications, besides physical stamina and coordination, were attitude and work ethic. EVERY STUDENT who showed up this week demonstrated exceptional quality in these areas! Given one more year to simply strengthen their muscles, every one of your kids will have a spot in The PRIDE 2015. For this coming year, however, here are the rookies and second year marchers who will be in The PRIDE 2014: All current eighth, ninth grade (or above) woodwind and brass players who came this week. All current seventh, eighth grade (or above) percussionists who came this week. The following current seventh grade woodwind and brass players: ALFORD, MACKENZY ARQUITOLA, JOSE BLACK, AARON BLACKWELL, SAVANNA BYERS, TRISTAN COUCH, EMMA DAVIS, HAYDEN HARP, ANDREW HARP, ANNA JOHNSON, LILA JONES, KALEB KERR, KAITLYN MARBUT, JAMES RYAN PATEL, DHRUV PRINCE, CAROLINE STEPHENS, SAVANNAH STEPHENSON, SARAH STREET, MACKENZIE SWINDALL, CAROLINA THOMPSON, SHELBY WITT, ALEC JAMES We are so proud of all of our rookie marchers!
