Bob Spiegel: Our elected officials need to remember that they have the responsibility and duty to go after those who created the environmental damage on our planet and clean it up. They say that giving away tax dollars for private benefit is the only way toxic waste sites like NL will get cleaned up. If our elected officials only enforced the law against multibillion dollar polluters they would have cleaned this site up a long time ago.
