[From a fan:] So... everyone has those special days, those jobs that they remember in this career. For some they may only come once or twice - but for others they may be lucky enough to come on a more regular basis. Those days are the ones where you did something important, you saved someones life, you caught a real bad guy - days where you really made that difference. For me today was one of those days. Today I was at Crown Court for day three of a supposed one day trial. This was my second cancelled rest day. It was in relation to a Public Order offence, so no, it wasnt a really bad guy, and no, I didnt save someones life. I was, however, giving evidence on the suspects behaviour in custody and, when asked to describe how she was being, I described her as erratic. How so Officer? Well, Your Honour... She was screaming, shouting, being abusive and even at one point twerked - whilst naked - up against the female officer who was with me! Sorry, Officer, twerked? the Prosecutor asks - whilst some of the jury look on with a wry grin on their faces. Yes, Your Honour. Where someone bends over and shakes their bum at you, although, at this time she was also naked. Sorry Officer. I still dont understand! says the Judge... Can you show me? Well, there go the faces of the Jury, the Prosecutor and the Defence! I check what Im hearing. Ummmm... Sure Your Honour - if youd like? Yes please. So... picture the scene. There I am, stood in Her Majestys Crown Court, wearing Her Majestys Number One Police Uniform... And Im bent over with my hands on my knees waggling my bum at a Judge... Today was one of those days I will never ever forget - and all in the name of the Queens Peace! Those Officers at Notting Hill would have been proud!
